Baby Trend Double Jogging Strollers
The Baby Trend Brand has brought quality to the jogging stroller market and their double jogging strollers are no different. They have two basic models: the Expedition and the Navigator.
Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller
The Baby Trend Expedition is the cheaper jogging stroller of the two that is a good compromise between size, functionality and price. The Expedition has large robust pneumatic tires that are just like bicycle tires. This allows them to glide effortlessly and the stroller uses the tri-wheel design with a fixed axle in the back and a large swivel wheel in front. The swivel wheel can be locked in place if you don’t want or need the swinging function.
The stroller easily folds in half to make it fairly portable; being able to fit into crossovers, minivans and SUVs. For increased portability the wheels feature a quick release option that helps to cut down on the size of the stroller when in tow.
The two things that most parents like about the Baby Trend Joggers are the ride and the ratcheting canopies. Due to the large tires and the fact that they are pneumatic, the stroller is easily pushed around town and up hills and it also handles the good sized potholes and other bumps. The second thing that parents enjoy is the canopies. Most strollers have a canopy that can open and close as needed, but these strollers utilize a unique ratcheting design that lets you open and close and reposition the canopy cover as needed. So if you happen to be walking in the late afternoon and the sun is low, the canopy can be swiveled around to cover the babies face and protect them. In fact, this is great for winds and rain as well. And the canopies also offer a Velcro window that allows you to check in on them to see how things are going while still strolling along.
Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogging Stroller
While the Baby Trend Expedition stroller may be right for those on a budget, the Navigator double jogging stroller is far better and is really the Cadillac of double jogging strollers.
The Navigator utilizes many of the same technologies such as the pneumatic tires, cooling mesh backing, and multi-position ratcheting canopy which provides the convenience and comfort. But where the Navigator steps it up is with the addition of another swiveling wheel at the front. The Navigator has four pneumatic tires that provide extra control and steerability over the Expedition. When you look at the difference between the two strollers it’s clear that having two wheels equally spaced in front provides a much better ride than the one wheel making it easier to jog with as well as more comfortable (i.e. more shock absorption) ride for your children.
In addition to this, the Navigator features dual trays containing multiple cup holders that come in handy for everything from drinks, to pacifiers, to small toys that your children may want to put down at some point. Another great feature about the Navigator is that it has built in speakers for your iPod, iPhone or other MP3 player. This Baby Trend double jogging stroller with speakers makes working out as easy as possible for keeping two kids with you.
Baby Trend Double Jogging Stroller Travel Systems
Both the Navigator and the Expedition are compatible with Baby Trend’s travel system. So if you already have the single jogger and need to upgrade to a two-seater, either one would be an excellent addition. Plus, this is one of the only double jogging strollers for twins that can accommodate them from birth all the way up through the end of their stroller days.
